Busaba Eathai – London

Saturday, September 11th, 2010. Filed under: Oriental

In the heart of busy, wonderful London, in a street neighboring oxford, tucked away on behind Selfridges is Busaba Ethai. Walking in the streets of London getting ready to go back to Kuwait later that Night, my friends and I were looking for somewhere we can grab a fairly fast, good meal. A friend of ours insisted we eat here told us to follow him into to what we knew was an oriental restaurant as soon as I saw the wooden shutters; a beautiful contemporary design, that was mirrored into the interior with the big wooden tables, concrete finishing and dim lights hung from the high ceilings.

Opening up the menu, I realized there weren’t any pictures of the food which confused me, but it just makes the menus that much simpler and straight forward. We started off with the chicken wings; crispy from the outside, juicy from the inside. Corn fed chicken noodles in a broth with both a good aroma as good as the chicken, which was extremely tender. Fried shrimp was hot and sizzling in our plates, with a side of the best chili sauce I have ever tried in my life. To our wonderful collection of food, we added the Red Lamb Chicken curry and the Green curry which were complimented by a side of coconut rice.

It was the perfect hot meal to get us ready for a day in London, and a flight back home. Definitely one of the best Asian restaurants to visit after rummaging in the busy streets of London with a million shopping bags on your arms…at least that’s what we looked like. Eat, Kuweat, Enjoy.. in one of our favorite cities in the world.
