Pizzetta “The Strip”, Kuwait
Pizzetta, a new addition to the beloved strip in Kuwait city and a sister restaurant to prime and toast and burger hub with a sleek, contemporary, concrete exterior. We visited the restaurant for lunch, and walked in to a nice simple atmosphere that we enjoyed very much.
When we “Kuweat”, we look at everything; the service, the food, the plates, and even how comfortable the chair we’re sitting on is! And after many requests; get ready for a full throttle review.
We started off with bruschetta; fresh, toasted just right, and drizzled with balsamic viniger and olive oil, one of the best we’ve had in Kuwait! The Beef Carpaccio was our second choice, with goat cheese that was really nice . A deep fried mushroom ravioli was the third choice, which was nothing different than eating fried bread; the stuffing was bland, and simply too oily. Finally, the risotto dumplings were definitely something we wouldn’t recommend; it wasn’t cooked right. Even when we went again I wanted to give it another shot and it still wasn’t nice .
For the main course, we ordered the pizza, to enjoy their specialty; it was average, nothing special. We think the toppings could have been fresher or of higher quality to enhance the flavor. But the pizzetta’s tasted better than the pizza and for sure they are the same dough but maybe cuz of the size and the flavor it just better than the normal pizza Next, the two main courses were hard for us to observe and got mixed opinions on the table; the Lamb chops with Ratatouille was our chefs favourite, despite Kuwaiti’s ignorance to the ingredient. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, tender and hand on one of the best dishes we tried, however, the portion was to small for the 7kd we paid, three lamb chops that were an equivalent of three bites! The second dish that confused me was the penne arabiatta; which is a penne pasta cooked with tomato “red” sauce, what we had was pasta in pink sauce with béchamel. It was bedazzling to see that in an Italian restaurant, even a simple pasta cant be done right. Along with the balsamic vinegar that was brought in a bowl and wasn’t available at our table. That was weird cuz it’s an Italian restaurant
We asked our waiter for their most ordered dessert; a chocolate pizza made with nutella. Lets just say this; tenoors bread from the Irani ovens topped with nutella would have been more satisfying.
Overall, it was an average experience, we however would love to go back once the restaurant has matured, and even wider range of food. We would definitely go back for the bruschetta and Carpaccio though, and we hope next time, the balsamic vinegar will be in a drizzle bottle!
Till next time Kuweaters..

Grade?
B- : after more than one visit and tried more stuff in menu we decided to upgrade it – but still price vs. Quality and consistent doesnt match with that prices you can enjoy other restaurant with better food quality.

Thanks for the review,,
but a “C+” !!!! common,, you gotta be kiddin me…
there menu might not be variant enough, but their food is just “DELICIOUS” with no doubts at all
loved the pics though
consistency is a big issue dear ! when i do a review i do it after my 4th or 5th visit to the restaurant !
and not only that , there stuff mostly for me and who i dine with are not up to the level! can i know which dishes you liked ?
LOL … gonna try it out one Saturday for my free meal … hopefully it is not still this bad
After all the compliments I have heard about it, never expected that review especially from you
My brother tried the hamburger pizza and said that it was really good. Did you try it? So you think Lorenzo is better?
nafnoof , no way lorenzo better , pizzeta is wy better of lorenzo , – to me that restaurant over all is average , – price vs. quality does not match at all , and as i said dear i would love to go there again eat bruschetta and carpaccio gladly , but anything else no – and ive been to that place over 10 times than i made my review i dont base it on one time visit , so there is consistency , service and quality base review
Nice review, I liked the place and service as well. Enjoyed their stuffed mushrooms as a started and their salads. But the main dish chicken lasagna wasn’t as expected, I think there was too much goat-cheese! Which was too strong.
The pumpkin risotto was very nice. For desert they recommended their “chocolate bread pudding” which was served to us cold more than warm. We believe it was heated in a microwave, it was a disappointment
