Out Of The Blue – Miami

I’ve always been a big fan of small, local restaurants and cafés that have the character of the city mirrored in their setting, menu, even the design.  This place surpassed my expectations when I enjoyed my first breakfast there. We pulled over to a concrete miniature blue house, in midtown Miami, on NE 2nd avenue. Out of the Blue sets its footprint in this neighborhood not only with its fabulous food, but it sets a pastel mood with 1970’s inspired furniture, a few loungy couches and Sophia Lauren movies playing on a flat screen.  A Street filled with graffiti infested walls, and beautiful artwork collages from wall to wall this blue sachet took me to a fantasyland of food.

My favorite time to go is Sunday brunch, or breakfast. Their Sunday brunch menu is filled with all the breakfast and special recipes that are served in miniature form, so you can indulge in as many flavorful omelets Though I have tried their sandwiches before, but they don’t even come close to how scrumptious their breakfast is.  First, you will notice that they have a handful of ways to eat your eggs; in a croissant so moist and buttery you heart will throb, layered with cheese, and fresh tomatoes, or on fresh bruschetta bread the possibilities are almost endless.  The egg Bruschetta is my favorite, it’s not as heavy as the croissant, and the ciabatta bread is drizzled with vinaigrette, and some olive oil to compliment the zesty lemon on the tomatoes. Afterwards I always indulge in their fresh warm waffles, drizzled either with Nutella or some maple syrup and a couple of walnuts.

Out of the blue is the perfect place for a Kuweaty breakfast in Miami. Though I was too pre occupied eating and totally forgot to take pictures for everyone to enjoy, their website is filled with them! I’ll definitely be going back though, it is officially our favorite place in Miami to have breakfast, with its relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and Kuweaty food! Oh, and they deliver. What more can we ask for?
