b+f Open Flame Kitchen

We made our way through mall 360, to go to Open Flame Kitchen. We’ve been waiting for it to open for long time , and let me tell you right from the start; this is by far the one of the best restaurants we’ve been to.

The quality of the food, the attention to detail, the service, the design, the lighting, the bread basket I can go on and on listing every detail that makes this place a heaven to all food lovers.

I loved their choice of lighting and the overall “chill” interior. They take you away from the polished, shiny, marble floors of 360, to a rougher place, where meat is served. There is something about the design that goes so well with steak. Even the tables’ design was meant to look like broken glass.

Menus are normally very basic in Kuwait. There are only a few places that are inventive with their ingredients that truly compliment meat.  OFK is one of them. Their kick-start menu has their larger selection, which goes on to the main menu. Endless selections of burgers, sliders, pizzas, pastas, steaks and desserts! With OFK, you’ll find something to satisfy your craving, whatever it may be.

For starters, their signature dynamite fries with chili cheese and jalapeños; topped with chipotle ranch sauce was drenched in flavor. Yeah it was the all American chili fries, but the ingredients were sizzling away with freshness.  we’ve tried the “lollipops” before in slider, but at OFK they’re lollipops were Ancho ribs, fried to perfection that melts away in your mouth- the name says it all; it is literally a meat lollipop. To top of this wonderful selection of “starters” we went for the amazing chicken liver skewers. The livers were a tad spicy, in a bed of Rocket, sprinkled with cheese to satisfy every taste bud.

Our starters were all under the title “temptations” in the menu, and that’s exactly what they were; temptations for an even juicier second course.

For my main dish, I had the best rack of lamb I have ever tasted, imagined or attempted to invent! Literally talking to the rack of lamb, telling it how amazing it was. The conversation didn’t last long, it was interrupted by the “Oh so wonderful” Roma Wagyu burger that’s topped with Portabella mushrooms drenched in rosemary sauce. All hugged by their homemade bun that’s as delicious as their breadbasket.

Our fairytale in the wonderland of food, ended with a sweet treat; a date cheesecake, that took an ingredients we have everyday to another level. We will unquestionably Kuweat at OFK, happily ever after.
