Byron Burger – London

Sunday, October 3rd, 2010. Filed under: Burgers

In the many years we have rummaged through the crowded streets of London, made reservations, ate from stands, and went home craving  both the food and the wonderful ambiances; we have never eaten a decent burger. Never cooked right, never with the right bread, or topping and always the opposite of what a burger should be.

Someone insisted I try Byron Burger. My friend boasted that it was the best burger he’s ever had.. the best in London. In my last visit, all I could see in every street was a Byron Burger joint. Every corner I turned, there it was!

We walked in, and took a look at the menu; simple, and straight to the point. The beef burger we had was really juicy. After I took a look at the bun, I was terrified of it being hard, but it wasn’t, it was the right texture. Though the burger was heaven; juicy, with fresh toppings and melted cheese, it was no gourmet burger like OFK. It’s a “Jonny rockets” style place, just much better!

The Corn fed chicken grilled burger was the “jackpot”. Since its hard to find a decent chicken burger anywhere, it was really nice in terms of taste, but it certainly was a little overcooked. Their fries were delicious, but the best thing in our meal was the onion ring! We promise the best we’ve ever tasted, the right texture, with crispy fried batter than will blow you away!
