Prime & Toast – Kuwait

Along next to the infamous Sliders Station, in the hustle and bustle of the newly appointed “strip” lays Prime & Toast. An equivalent of a neighborhood restaurant; it serves simple food, and breakfast all day. The local concept like the surrounding restaurants, adapts to the rough city texture. I visited the miniature restaurant for brunch like I have many times before. I love sitting down outside, enjoying being back home especially in the winter.

The watermelon juice always quenches my thirst, enjoying it before or after a meal in the summer heat is exactly what you’ll need to wind down. A cheese omelet, with an English touch; adding a side of baked beans and hash browns, all fresh as can be. Their poached eggs were disappointing, being a huge fan of eggs Benedict, it was simply not done right.

Pancakes are without a doubt everyone’s favorite for a hearty breakfast, though we love “P & T” ‘s sweet pancakes, both plain and chocolate chip drizzled with syrup. We applaud them for the amazing mushroom pancakes. They’re savory and completely unexpected, with mushrooms inside the pancake batter, and drizzled with seasoned melted butter every bite was fluffy, warm and smooth.

If you go for lunch however I strongly suggest any of their sandwiches, whether it’s the classic roast beef sandwich of the grilled halloum, you cannot go wrong! The Goat cheese salad is simply amazing, the right amount of sweet dressing covering the crunchy lettuce, and soft creamy crumbles of goat cheese on top.

Taking the experience down a notch is their service. The kitchen is way to small for the amount of tables at the restaurant. The staff is also a little slow but I just think it’s because of the amount of skillets cooking our food.

Prime and toast is a perfect place for you and your friends to enjoy an early lunch, or breakfast; serving simple good food that we all know and love in a wonderful contemporary, and rough setting. We love Kuweating at prime and toast guys, so let’s get our food already!

Put one thing should P&T do is thank Slider Station for bringing more crowds for them thats the only reason it becomes full in dinner time.
